VIENNAFAIR 2006 - Young Art from Central & Eastern EuropeTHE INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR FOCUSED ON CEE06 April 2006 - 09 April 2006 Ninety-nine galleries from nineteen countries gather at the Messezentrum Wien for Viennafair, a showcase of emerging art with a particular focus on Central Europe. The works of around 1,500 artists will be on display including big names such as sculptors Richard Serra and Tony Cragg, Monica Bonvicini from Italy, Kiki Smith from the USA and Austrians Franz West, Peter Kogler and Herbert Brandl. More than half of the participating galleries will have on show spectacular pieces from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Serbia and other Central & East European countries. Viennafair is thus an ideal platform to view and purchase compositions by artists from the region. Tip: the sculpture park in front of the exhibition halls is a great place for relaxed contemplation and leisurely strolls.Location:
