WRO 07 - Finissage12th International Media Art Biennale in Breslau (PL)16 June 2007 - 17 June 2007 The International Media Art Biennale WRO is the leading forum for new media art in Central Europe. When it debuted in December 1989 as the Sound Basis Visual Art Festival, WRO was devoted primarily to audiovisual works in formats ranging from video and computer art to installations, performances and multimedia presentations. Since 1993, the festival - now a biennial event - has also explored digital art as a form of creative expression.Finissage / closing events in the National Museum in Wrocław 16th-17th June 2007 • Globalscreen.org and Appendix, Project Visual Sound. An international screening by 24 video artists (2007) and cooperative project between media art platforms: Globalscreen (D) and Automata (SL) • Hidden decade: Polish media in 1990s Premiere screening of a video program from the WRO collection, curated by Piotr Krajewski (Poland) • WRO 07 in Tour, WRO 07 Flash, Hour of Media.
