VIENNAFAIR
The International Contemporary Art Fair focused on Central Eastern Europe.
The VIENNAFAIR - held in spring at the MessezentrumWienNeu the new trade fair venue in the heart of the city of Vienna - had its first successful edition in 2005.
Focusing on young art and galleries the VIENNAFAIR presented the dynamic development of the international art scene with a strong emphasis on Central Eastern Europe. In addition to the art fair collectors and visitors are invited to a programme of side events amongst which are to find high lights such as panel talks, viewing of company and private collections and an outdoor sculpture park.
VIENNAFAIR and Erste Bank offer a platform for young and less-known galleries from the new EU member states in order to enter the international art world.
Erste Bank supportes galleries of Central and Eastern Europe and gives them the opportunity to present art from their home region to a new audience. The increasing amount of CEE-galleries in the thiird year shows the success of the concept. The mix of established galleries and new galleries from CEE was very well accepted by the inclined public and collectors.
