3rd Generation University
“3rd Generation University” is a special training program for seniors aged 50 to 85 covering banks and financial services
The Bank institute Prague (BI) was founded in 1999 as a private university. In 2001 BI has started a cooperation with the German education company COGNOS AG and became the first private university in the CR with a strategic foreign partner.
The BI is specialised in the education in the field of finance. BI offers a bachelor study program, a master study program and an in-service training of different courses.
For the academic year 2006/2007 BI has started a new program called “3rd Generation University (bank and financial service for seniors).
Target group: seniors who want to update their knowledge in the field of bank and financial service.
The benefits for graduates of this program are:
- to acquire knowledge, experience and skills for effective cooperation with banks and financial institutions
- to get a general idea of actual bank and financial products and service including its business applications (account opening and administration, credits, investments, capital business, governmental promotion of companies, export, insurance, leasing, etc.)
- to become familiar with a new legislation in the CR and EU.
Study length: two-semester
Study form: part-time in terms of lifelong study courses
Final degree: exam
Content: basic legal conditions of bank and financial service, client´s accounting, financial mathematics for clients, service of commercial banks, service of financial institutions, capital investment, international finances and exchange market, etc.
Conditions of admission: min. secondary school education, in the age of 50 to 85.
