Mikulov Arts Symposium

The Mikulov Arts Symposium takes place in the premises of Mikulov’s castle. It ranks among the most significant cultural and social events and is supported by the South Moravian Region.

Co-organizers are the Regional Museum in Mikulov, the town Mikulov and the Ministry of culture. The objective of this project is to show current developments in graphic arts. The artists participating in the symposium are not limited by subject or material restraints. The main admission condition is to leave the created work in the collection of the town Mikulov (copyright is preserved).
The aims of the Mikulov are
- to found a collection of contemporary art
- to bring art and culture closer to the people that live or visit Mikulov
- to loan its collection to other institutions
- to cooperate with other cultural institutions (Moravian Gallery in Brno, National Gallery in Prague, Galerie Mánes, town Šumperk).
