International Children Festival

The International Children Festival in Sibernik is the trade mark of the cultural scene of the region with an excellent reputation and a tradition of more than four decades.

The International Childrens Festival in Sibernik promotes creative education of children and young adults. It not only initiates but also stimulates many ideas in various fields of art for children and by children: dramatic and music arts, puppetry, film, literature and visual arts. The festival idea is realized:
•    By an annual review of carefully selected Croatian and foreign performing companies - made for children
•    By workshops to involve children in the act of creation – made by children and instructors
•    By organizing symposiums on creativity and art and on other topics which are important for the aesthetic education of children and also show the scientific aspect of art. The best drama companies from Croatia and abroad have already acted in the course of the festival on the open-air stage in front of the old City Hall as well as in the theatre.
